Resumen
[ES] El continuo crecimiento poblacional humano ha dado lugar a la expansión territorial transformando el paisaje natural hacia una matriz repleta de parches de terreno urbanizable y agrícola. Palomas y tórtolas han sido especies oportunistas que han aprovechado esta expansión colonizando nuestras ciudades y parques.
A través de este trabajo, se desea conocer el número de individuos de palomas y tórtolas presentes en la ciudad de Bailén y determinar si pueden considerarse como amenaza a nivel social, económico o ecológico. Para ello, se ha hecho un estudio etológico, a través del cual se han establecido las vías por las cuales, palomas y tórtolas se dirigen a la campiña para alimentarse, ya que la ciudad no cubre las necesidades de toda la población. Éstas han sido censadas junto con aquellos individuos que permanecen de manera sedentaria en la ciudad, obteniéndose la estimación relativa de la población. Dando lugar a 525 palomas y 69 tórtolas.
[EN] The continuous human population rise has given room to territorial expansion, changing natural landscape to a matrix filled with patches of building and farming land. Pigeons and turtledoves have been opportunistic species that have taken advantage of this expansion, colonising our cities and parks. Through this work, is desirable know the number of pigeons and turtledoves individuals present in Bailén city and decide if these species can be considered as a social, economic or ecologic threat. For it, an ethological preliminary study has been carried out, of which have been established the routes through pigeons and turtledoves go to countryside for eating, considering that city don´t meet needs of all population. Pigeons and turtledoves have been registered closed by sedentary individuals, which remain at city, getting a population relative estimation of 525 pigeons and 69 turtledoves.
