[EN] Earth is changing mainly due to human activities. A change in attitudes must take place that leading to get a sustainable development. The ecological footprint is used to understand how we are modifying our global ecosystem. This work has evaluated the Ecological Footprint (EF) of the University of Jaen during from 2012 to 2014. The obtained results show that the University needs an average of 9.426,30 a/year. Moreover, each person who studies, teaches, works, in Jaén University needs 0,55 ha each year. The mobility, with 54,71 % of the EF is the principal activity concerning the CO2 emissions in the campus. Comparing Spanish universities, University of Jaén is in the second place of the Universities with higher EF ranking, being the University of Córdoba, which has the first place. More Environmental Education programs and a more efficient university management are needed.
