The present end of bachelor degree project has the objective the development of a neuropsychological intervention program aimed at patients with end-stage renal disease (ESRD) who are regularly under a hemodialysis treatment. Concretely, this program targets a group from 5 to 10 individuals who receive the treatment in the hospital of Jaen. Due to the lack of research and development of concrete programs aiming to help the ESRD patients under hemodialysis, this paper compiled data from multiple studies focusing on the different neuropsychological components and variations associated with the mentioned disease: attention, memory and executive functions. In conclusion, it is indispensable to develop a neuropsychological intervention program specifically designed to be carried out simultaneously to the hemodialysis treatment in order take advantage of its benefits while increasing the adherence.
