[ES] Las TIC apoyan el proceso de enseñanza-aprendizaje del inglés como lengua extranjera (EFL) gracias a la
gran cantidad de posibilidades que bridan para desarrollar la competencia comunicativa de los
estudiantes. Para integrar estos recursos de manera eficiente en los libros de texto de inglés como lengua
extranjera, las habilidades, los conocimientos y las aptitudes que forman parte de la competencia digital
deben integrarse junto con los de la competencia comunicativa dentro de los contenidos de dichos libros.
Esta disertación tiene como objetivo mostrar un análisis descriptivo de cómo dos libros de texto de inglés
como lengua extranjera contribuyen al desarrollo de la competencia digital de los estudiantes de la etapa
de secundaria obligatoria según Digcom 2.0.
[EN] ICTs support the teaching-learning process of English as a foreign language (EFL) thanks to the great number of possibilities they provide to develop students’ communicative competence. In order to integrate these resources efficiently into EFL course books, the skills, knowledge and aptitudes that are part of digital competence need to be integrated alongside those of communicative competence within the contents of textbooks. This dissertation aims to show a descriptive analysis of how two EFL course books contribute to developing the digital competence of students in compulsory secondary education according to Digcom 2.0.
