Resumen
[ES] El rendimiento académico del alumnado es una de las mayores preocupaciones del Sistema Educativo
Español. Así pues, existen programas específicos para mejorar dicho rendimiento en aquellos alumnos que
son escolarizados en situación de desventaja cultural, social y/o económica. Los programas que comprende
a Educación Compensatoria, como veremos a continuación, se centran en aspectos académicos. No
¡obstante, existen otras variables de tipo psicológico cuyo trabajo puede ser clave para el éxito del alumnado.
Entre estas variables, se encuentra el optimismo y el significado y propósito. El programa expuesto en este
~rabajo aborda las citadas variables en un grupo de 60 alumnos con edades comprendidas entre los 13 y 14
~ños, que cursen 12 o 22 de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria (E.S.O), escolarizados en el Plan de
K:ompensación Educativa. La intervención está constituida por 8 sesiones en las cuales se trabajará con 30 de
los sujetos seleccionados organizados en grupos de 10 alumnos. Se establecerá una evaluación previa a la
intervención, posterior a la intervención y un seguimiento a los 3 y a los 6 meses con el fin de valorar los
¡efectos del programa en el rendimiento académico de los alumnos y alumnas objeto de estudio.
[EN] V\cademic achievement of students is one of the main issue in the Spanish Education System. Thus, there are ~pecifie-programst~mprove the achievement of students who attend school in situations of cultural, social ~rnd / or economic disadvantage. The programs included in Compensatory Education, as they are explained below, are focused on academic aspects. However, there are other psychological aspects whose work can be iessential for the success of students. Among these aspects, is the optimism and meaning and purpose. The program outlined in this paper work about these aspects in a group of 60 students who are between 13 and 14 years old, who attend 1st or 2nd course of Secondary Education, enrolled in the Educational k::ompensation Plan. The intervention consists on 8 sessions in which it will be worked with 30 selected ~ubjects organized in groups of 10 students. lt will be established a pre-post-intervention assessment to the intervention, and a follow-up after 3 and 6 months in arder to assess the effects of the program on academic achievement of students under study.
