[EN]Throughout the last decades an enormous effort has been made to make solar energy an alternative to the use of conventional energy sources. Nevertheless, the use of the solar energy to generate electricity presents a great disadvantage: its integration into the electricity grid. Solar generation is conditioned by weather, being highly intermittent. Currently, the use of solar forecasting is the only way to facilitate the solar energy grid integration. Solar power forecasts are used by grid operators for scheduling of conventional power plant and by solar plants owners to participate in the electricity market. Therefore, the development of accurate solar radiation methods has become a central element for the development of solar energy. In this work a bibliographic review of the solar and PV forecasting methods is conducted. The different methods and techniques are introduced and discussed. Finally, some conclusion on the main advantages and disadvantages are drawn of these methods.
