La Intervención Asistida con Animales para la mejora en habilidades sociales en personas con Síndrome de Down

Abstract

[ES] En este Trabajo Fin de Máster se ha diseñado un proyecto de investigación donde se pretende analizar la eficacia que tienen las Intervenciones Asistidas con Animales sobre las Habilidades sociales. Para ello se ha contado con una muestra de diez personas, todas ellas con Síndrome de Down, de las cuales cinco han pertenecido al grupo convencional y otras cinco al grupo experimental. En ambos grupos se pretende eliminar las conductas disruptivas que presenten y conseguir una mejora en las habilidades sociales ya adquiridas junto con la adquisición de otras nuevas. El programa estará compuesto por doce sesiones y habrá actividades encaminadas a conseguir los objetivos propuestos. La evaluación se realizará tanto con técnicas cuantitativas como con técnicas cualitativas y se espera que el grupo experimental obtenga una mayor adherencia al programa, comprobando así los beneficios que aporta la presencia del animal.

[EN] In this Master's Thesis, a research project has been designed to analyze the effectiveness of Animal Assisted Interventions on social skills. For this, a sample of ten people has been counted, all of them with Down syndrome, of which five have belonged to the conventional group and another five to the experimental group. In both groups, the aim is to eliminate the disruptive behaviors that they present and achieve an improvement in the social skills already acquired along with the acquisition of new ones. The program will consist of twelve sessions and there will be activities aimed at achieving the proposed objectives. The evaluation will be carried out with both quantitative and qualitative techniques and it is expected that the experimental group will obtain greater adherence to the program, thus verifying the benefits provided by the presence of the animal.
