Global Education integrating sustainable development goals through english language teaching.

Resumen
Este trabajo de Fin de Máster tiene como objetivo principal contribuir desde un punto de vista educativo, no solo a desarrollar el conocimiento de una lengua extranjera, inglés en este caso, sino también a crear una conciencia social en los más jóvenes para luchar contra los problemas sociales como son la pobreza, la desigualdad o el cambio climático, utilizando el inglés como vehículo. Para conseguir esto, este trabajo se presentará una parte teórica donde se explicará el concepto de Desarrollo Sostenible, entrando en más detalle en los 17 Objetivos de Desarrollo Sostenible (ODS) que se encuentran en la Agenda 2030 establecida por la UNESCO para establecer los problemas principales a los que nuestra sociedad se están enfrentando para poder erradicarlos. También se revisará la integración de este tipo de contenidos en la clase de lengua extranjera. En la segunda parte de este trabajo, las ideas mencionadas en secciones anteriores serán puestas en práctica utilizando una unidad didáctica llamada Going Green (Volviéndote verde), basada en algunos de los ODS relacionados con el cambio climático. Igualmente, diferentes metodologías serán debatidas, como el Aprendizaje Basado en Proyectos, además del enfoque comunicativo, a través de los cuales, los alumnos llevarán a cabo una serie de actividades que les guiará a un proyecto final.
This Master's Thesis has as its main objective to contribute from an educational point of view, not only to develop the knowledge of a foreign language, English is in this case, but also to create a social conscience in the youngest to fight against social problems such as poverty, inequality or climate change using English as the vehicle. To achieve this, a theoretical part will be presented where the concept of Sustainable Development will be explained, paying more attention to the 17 Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) found in the 2030 Agenda established by the UNESCO in order to set the main problems our society is facing and eradicate them. The integration of this type of content in the foreign language classroom will also be reviewed. In the second main part of this dissertation, the aforementioned ideas will be put into practice through a didactic unit called Going green, based on some of the Sustainable Development Goals related to climate change. Likewise, different methodologies will be implemented, such as Project-Based Learning and the Communicative Approach, through which students will carry out a series of activities, leading to a final project.
