[EN] The culture and cultural background of each person have a decisive influence in every single aspect of their lives, including language. Therefore, it is so important to incorporate this element correctly in the Spanish as a Foreign Language class, as only in this way will we provide a complete knowledge of the language that we are teaching to our students. Probably due to a lack of knowledge of the foreign culture students of Spanish often consider that stereotypes about Spain are an unquestionable reality, but how widespread are these stereotypes nowadays? In this thesis we focused on finding which stereotypes of the Spanish culture are more widespread among German students. To achieve this goal, we will carry out a survey in a German High School in the city of Cologne, where we will also analyse their full meaning and finally we will establish different activities to try to teach a culture that is more in line with reality.
