Resumen
Este trabajo consiste en una revisión acerca de los problemas lectores que presentan los niños con un
diagnóstico de Trastorno Específico del Lenguaje (TEL). En primer lugar, se realiza una revisión sobre el
TEL, en qué consiste dicho trastorno, cuáles son sus características y sus criterios diagnósticos, para
después estudiar y analizar cuáles son los problemas existentes en la lectoescritura. Tomando como base
el Modelo Simple de Lectura, cabría esperar que estos niños presenten problemas tanto en la
decodificación como en la comprensión oral del lenguaje. Obteniéndose finalmente unos resultados muy
diversos debido a la heterogeneidad en la manifestación clínica del trastorno. Además, se propone una
intervención para mejorar la eficacia lectora teniendo en cuenta las dificultades que presentan los niños
con TEL en la lectura.
The objective of this work is to carry out a review about the reading disabilities presented by children diagnosed with Specific Language Impairment (SLI). First of all, there is a review about the SLI, what this disorder consists in and which are its features and diagnostic criteria. Afterwards, thanks to this review, it is possible to study and analyze which are the existing problems in reading and writing. On the basis of the Simple Reading Model, it would be expected of those children to present problems regarding both the decoding and oral comprehension of language. Finally, very diverse result are obtained thanks to the heterogeneity in the disorder’s clinical manifestation. Also, it’s proposed an intervention to improve the reading efficacy taking into account the difficulties that children with SLI present in reading.
