Abstract

[ES] Una definición rápida de la economía sería que es una ciencia social que estudia el comportamiento que tienen los individuos según las necesidades propias de cada uno, e intenta encontrar los recursos, aunque sean limitados, para poder satisfacerlos. El estudio del pensamiento económico ayuda a conocer y comprender cómo funciona la economía, además de que consigue hacer que la sociedad pueda llegar a los objetivos económicos que ella misma ha escogido. La sociedad, si conoce bien el funcionamiento de la economía, puede conseguir esos fines con mayor rapidez. Con este trabajo, se estudiará el desarrollo histórico de la economía. Los puntos de vista que cada autor y pensador tuvo, observando el medio y haciendo uso de su conocimiento. Como este campo de estudio es muy amplio, se hará un recorrido desde el nacimiento de las primeras ideas económicas hasta llegar al pensamiento clásico, finalizando con el autor más conocido de esa etapa.

[EN] A quick definition of economics would be that it is a social science that studies the behavior of individuals according to the needs of each one, and tries to find the resources, even if they are limited, to be able to satisfy them. The study of economic thought helps to know and understand how the economy works, in addition to making it possible for society to reach the economic objectives that it has chosen. Society, if it knows well how the economy works, can achieve these ends more quickly. With this work, the historical development of the economy will be studied. The points of view that each author and thinker had, observing the environment and making use of their knowledge. As this field of study is very broad, a journey will be made from the birth of the first economic ideas until reaching classical thought, ending with the best-known author of that stage.
