[ES]España tiene una población cada vez más envejecida. Este fenómeno es más notorio si
hablamos de zonas rurales. Las personas mayores que viven en estos hábitats tienen más
dificultades para lograr un envejecimiento activo principalmente por la escasez de
servicios, prestaciones o programas específicos destinados a estos contextos y colectivo.
El año 2012 fue declarado como Año Europeo del Envejecimiento Activo y de la
Solidaridad Intergeneracional, desde este momento se ha producido una mayor
sensibilización de la población sobre la aportación de las personas mayores a la sociedad
y se han llevado a cabo actuaciones para que los adultos mayores vivan durante más
tiempo con calidad de vida.
Este trabajo presenta un proyecto de intervención que intenta promover el envejecimiento
activo en las zonas rurales, con el que se pretende fomentar su autonomía personal,
mejorando su calidad de vida y promoviendo la participación las personas mayores en la
sociedad, lo que contribuirá positivamente a reducir el aislamiento social en estas.
[EN]Spain has an increasingly aging population. This phenomenon is more noticeable if we talk about rural areas. Older people living in these habitats have more difficulties in achieving active aging, mainly due to the lack of specific services, benefits, or programs for these contexts and groups.
