[EN] Research indicates that university students face high levels of psychological distress, including depression, anxiety, and stress. This study aims to evaluate the emotional state of students and its relationship with emotional intelligence, life satisfaction, psychological capital, and meaning-centered coping styles. Using a quantitative, cross-sectional design with a sample of 231 students, results showed high prevalence of mental health issues and negative correlations between the three measured symptoms and all total scales of the variables of interest. Life satisfaction emerged as the best predictor for depression, anxiety, and stress. Further research on individual and contextual variables that enhance skills and resources to improve students' academic and personal curriculum is recommended.
