EFECTO DE LA INCORPORACIÓN DE CENIZAS ACTIVADAS A MORTEROS

Abstract

En este Trabajo Fin de Grado se estudia la sustitución de cenizas de biomasa activadas alcalinamente con una solución de hidróxido sódico y silicato sódico por cemento Portland (CP) en la fabricación de morteros. Se ha evaluado la sustitución de cenizas en diferentes porcentajes (0, 5, 10, 15, 20, 25 % en peso) evaluando las carácterísticas físicas y mecánicas de los morteros fabricados. Los resultados indican que la opción más óptima es la sustitución del 10% o 15% de CP presentando los morteros propiedades tecnológicas similares al mortero de control, cumpliendo la normativa vigente para su uso como mortero presentando una mayor capacidad de aislamiento térmico.

This Final Degree Project studies the substitution of alkaline activated biomass ashes with a solution of sodium hydroxide and sodium silicate by Portland cement (PC) in the manufacture of mortars. The replacement of ashes in different percentages (0, 5, 10, 15, 15, 20, 25 % by weight) has been evaluated by assessing the physical and mechanical characteristics of the manufactured mortars. The results indicate that the most optimal option is the substitution of 10% or 15% of CP, with the mortars presenting technological properties similar to the control mortar, complying with the current regulations for use as mortar and presenting a greater thermal insulation capacity.
