Resumen
[ES] Este trabajo tiene como propósito conocer el potencial pedagógico de la trompa en el jazz para el desarrollo de un trompista clásico. Para alcanzar este objetivo es de vital importancia conocer la contextualización histórica de la trompa en el jazz, sus principales intérpretes y las aportaciones que este género hizo al posterior desarrollo de músicas contemporáneas y como estos factores pueden ayudarnos a nuestra formación como músicos clásicos.
Para completar el estudio, se han realizado cuestionarios a estudiantes de trompa españoles de diferentes conservatorios de España y Europa y se ha entrevistado a un experto trompista y docente de jazz en España.
[EN] This paper aims to understand the pedagogical potential of the horn in jazz for the development of a classical horn player. In order to achieve this objective, it is of vital importance to know the historical contextualisation of the horn in jazz, its main performers and the contributions that this genre made to the subsequent development of the contemporary music and how these factors can help us in our training as classical musicians. In order to complete this study, an interview was conducted with a horn player and jazz teacher in Spain, as well as a survey of Spanish horn students from different conservatories in Spain and Europe.
