In the last decades the world has suffered many changes related to the global energy system. This has led to the development of renewable energies, which emerges as a great solution for existing environmental problems. In particular, the mini-hydraulic energy, which has a little environmental impact, not very high investment costs, low operating costs and even takes advantage of well-known technology; is facing a unique development opportunity. Regarding this new situation, an implementation of adequate tools that allow the design and analysis of these infrastructures is needed. This is the scope where this document has been developed, by designing a computer tool capable of pre-dimensioning every different component of a mini-hydroelectric plant. The values obtained may be used as input data to calculate the needed investment and carry out the Corresponding feasibility analysis.
