Abstract

El proyecto presenta un caso estudio sobre el programa Erasmus +. Éste tiene por objetivo el intercambio de estudiantes. Actualmente se lleva a cabo en Institutos de Educación Secundaria (IES). Dicho proyecto se ha realizado en un IES de la provincia de Málaga. Este estudio analizará si el programa está consiguiendo el objetivo de crear motivación e interés en los estudiantes hacia los diferentes países europeos centrándose en alumnos de Educación Secundaria Obligatoria e incluyendo un diseño cuasi-cuantitativo y cualitativo. El primero incluirá información sobre el programa así como la forma de llevarlo a cabo. Para la realización del estudio cualitativo, se utilizarán tres tipos de instrumentos: cuestionarios a estudiantes, entrevistas a profesores y padres y la observación en el progreso de estos estudiantes en la asignatura de inglés.

This project will present a case study of the Erasmus + Programme. This is a European Union (EU) student exchange programme which is being implemented in some Secondary Schools. This project carries out a case study in a Secondary School in Málaga. Therefore, this paper will analyse whether the programme is achieving this objective by creating motivation and interests in the students toward the different European countries. The study will be focused on students of Compulsory Secondary Education and will involve both a quasi-quantitative and qualitative research design. The former will comprise information about the programme itself and how this is performed. In turn, three types of instruments will be employed for the qualitative side of the study: questionnaires to students, interviews to teachers, and parents, and direct observation on students’ progress in the English subject.
