Comorbilidades en el Trastorno por Déficit de Atención/Hiperactividad

Abstract

[ES] El objetivo del presente estudio es describir la sintomatología comórbida presente tanto en un niño diagnosticado de trastorno por déficit de atención/hiperactividad preferentemente inatento así como en un niño diagnosticado de trastorno por déficit de atención/hiperactividad combinado. El estudio se ha realizado con dos alumnos de 10 y 12 años pertenecientes a dos centros de Educación Primaria del municipio de Martos. Para obtener los datos se revisó la documentación existente en los centros educativos y se administraron pruebas tanto a los profesores, a los padres como a los propios niños; en concreto se administró el Inventario de Depresión Infantil (Kovacs, 1992), Prueba de Ansiedad Relacionada con Problemas Emocionales Para Niños (Birmaher, 1997), Informe del Niño (Achenbach y Rescorla, 2001), Listado de Conducta del Niño (Achenbach y Rescorla, 2001), Informe del Profesor (Achenbach y Rescorla, 2001). Los resultados muestran, tal y como era de esperar el niño diagnosticado de trastorno por déficit de atención/hiperactividad combinado presenta mayor sintomatología comórbida que el niño diagnosticado de trastorno por déficit de atención/hiperactividad preferentemente inatento; concretamente se ha encontrado de manera significativa sintomatología ansiosa y dificultades académicas en el niño diagnosticado de trastorno por déficit de atención/hiperactividad preferentemente inatento frente a sintomatología significativa en ansiedad, problemas de conducta y dificultades académicas en el niño diagnosticado de trastorno por déficit de atención/hiperactividad combinado.

[EN]The objetive of this study is to describe the comorbid symptoms present in both a child diagnoses as attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder inattentive type as in a child diagnoses with attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder combined type. The study was carried out with two students aged 10 and 12 belonging to two primary education centers in the municipality of Martos. In order to obtain the information, the existing documentation was reviewed in the schools and test were administered to the teachers, to the parents and to the children themselves. In particular the Inventory of Children Depression (Kovacs, 1992), Screen for Child Anxiety-Related Emotional Disorders (Birmaher, 1997), Youth Self-Report (Achenbach y Rescorla, 2001), Child Behavior Checklist (Achenbach y Rescorla, 2001), Teacher Report Form (Achenbach y Rescorla, 2001) were administered. The results show that, as it was expected that the child diagnoses as having a combined type of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder present more comorbid symptoms than the child diagnoses with inatent type of attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder, in particular a significant anxiety symptomatology and academic difficulties have been found in the child diagnoses with inattentive attention-deficit hyperactivity disorder in the face of significant symptoms in anxiety, behavioral problems and academic difficulties in the child diagnoses to attention- deficit hyperactivity disorder combined type.
