Resumen
En el presente trabajo voy a llevar a cabo una revisión bibliográfica, en la que se van a abordar las desigualdades educativas a las que se enfrenta la etnia gitana. Para ello, se profundizará a lo largo de tres bloques en el contexto histórico, cultural y político de la comunidad gitana. De esta manera, conoceremos por un lado, el origen de las desigualdades tanto sociales como escolares, y, por otro lado, las perspectivas de futuro que se abren con las nuevas políticas educativas.
El primer bloque hace un breve recorrido histórico de los gitanos en España para situarnos en los orígenes de su desigualdad y entender la situación actual. En el segundo de los bloques se realiza, por otra parte, una aproximación de su cultura y un análisis de la escuela, para conocer tanto sus funciones como los factores que producen una situación de prejuicios y de absentismo escolar. Con todo ello pretendemos acercarnos al análisis del choque que se ha producido durante tantos años entre la institución educativa y la comunidad gitana.
Para cerrar este trabajo, se plasmarán las diferentes leyes por las que el sistema educativo se ha ido transformando en distintos modelos de escuela. Prestaremos especial atención a aquellas políticas educativas por las que la situación de la etnia gitana está cambiando de forma positiva, lo que está favoreciendo tanto el éxito escolar como la convivencia intercultural.
In the present work I am going to carry out a bibliographical review, in which there are going to be approached the educational inequalities which the gypsy ethnic faces. For it, it will be deepened along three blocks in the historical, cultural and political context of the gypsy community. Hereby, we will know on the one hand, the origin of the inequalities so much social as students, and, on the other hand, the perspectives of future that are opened by the new educational policies. The first block does a brief historical tour of the gypsies in Spain to place in the origins of his inequality and to understand the current situation. In the second one of the blocks there is realized, on the other hand, an approximation of his culture and an analysis of the school, to know both his functions and the factors that produce a situation of prejudices Página 4 de 40 and of school absenteeism. With all this we try to approach the analysis of the shock that has taken place for so many years between the educational institution and the gypsy community. To close this work, there will take form the different laws for which the educational system has been transforming in different models of school. We will pay particular attention to those educational policies for which the situation of the gypsy ethnic is changing positively, which is favoring both the school success and the intercultural conviviality.
