LA GESTIÓN EN LA EMPRESA FAMILIAR: RELEVO GENERACIONAL Y SUCESIÓN

Abstract

La empresa familiar es aquella cuya propiedad y gobierno está ejercido por los miembros de una familia y su objetivo estratégico incluye la continuidad de la compañía a manos de la siguiente generación familiar. En ocasiones pueden surgir conflictos a la hora de realizar este relevo generacional. En el presente trabajo se introduce el concepto de empresa familiar y su importancia para la economía de un país, las características que definen a este tipo de empresas, las dificultades que pueden surgir durante la sucesión y cómo superarlas. Tras analizar la teoría, se lleva a la práctica con el caso de una empresa familiar concreta y su planificación de la sucesión. The family business is the one whose ownership and government are run by members of a family and its strategic objective includes the continuity of the company into the possession of the following generation. Sometimes conflicts can arise from the generational change. In this project it is explained the meaning of family business and its importance to the economy of a country, the main characteristics of this kind of companies, the difficulties that may arise while the generational change and how to overcome them. After analyzing the theory, it is put into practice with the case of a family business in concrete and its succession planning.
