Revisión sistemática de la efectividad de la Terapia de Aceptación y compromiso para pacientes con dolor crónico.

Resumen
El dolor crónico es una patología cada vez más presente en la sociedad que conlleva grandes problemas de salud y emocionales, por lo que la psicología se ha interesado ampliamente por su estudio y tratamiento. La Terapia de Aceptación y Compromiso (ACT) parece ser el tratamiento óptimo para reducir el impacto producido por el dolor crónico en la vida de los pacientes que lo sufren ya que se basa en su aceptación y en la actuación acorde a los valores de la persona. En el presente trabajo se revisa sistemáticamente la literatura sobre esta temática para comprobar si realmente la ACT es efectiva como tratamiento para el dolor crónico. Este estudio de revisión consta de una selección de ensayos controlados aleatorizados (N=l4), lo cual nos permite lograr una extracción de conclusiones consistente. Finalmente, desde este trabajo, se califica la ACT como una terapia efectiva para el tratamiento del dolor crónico.

The Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT) seems to be the optima! treatment to reduce the impact produced by chronic pain in the life of the patients who suffer it because is based on the acceptance of pain and the action according to the values of the person. This review study consists of a selection of randomized controlled trials (N = 14), which allows us to achieve consistent conclusions. Finally, from this work, ACT is branded as an effective therapy for the treatment of chronic pain.
