Homoparentalidad en positivo

Abstract

En la actualidad, las familias se encuentran ante transformaciones debido a la diversidad de modelos familiares que podemos encontrar en nuestra sociedad. Cada vez más podemos encontrar familias donde no existe unión matrimonial, familias monoparentales, sin descendencia o aquellas en las que centraremos el siguiente proyecto, las familias homoparentales, aquellas en las que niños y niñas viven con padres y madres del mismo sexo. Estas familias se encuentran en situaciones en las que desconocen a menudo cómo actuar en ámbitos como el educativo o el social, ya que no conocen familias similares a la suya en la cual apoyarse para compartir intereses o solventar dudas. Este es el motivo por el cual debemos trabajar con estas familias y con sus menores, para poder empoderarlos en todos los ámbitos de la vida, ya que debida a su escasa representatividad estadística hay una falta de referentes, y esto justifica la necesidad de intervención.

Nowadays, families are facing transformations due to the diversity of family models that we can find in our society. Increasingly, we can find families where there is no marriage, single parents families, no offspring or those in which we focus the next project, homoparental families, those in which children live with parents of the same sex. These families find themselves in situations in which the often do not know how to act in areas such as education or social, since they do not know families similar to theirs in which to support themselves to share interests or resolve doubts. This is the reason why we must work with these families and their children, in order to empower them in all areas of life, because due to their scarce statistical representation there is a lack of references, and this justifies the need for intervention.
