Efectividad de las maniobras de reposicionamiento canicular para el tratamiento del VPPB con afeccion del canal horizontal. Una revision sistematica.

Abstract

[ES] El objetivo de esta revisión fue analizar la efectividad de las maniobras de reposicionamiento canalicular en el tratamiento del vértigo paroxístico benigno (VPPB) con afectación del canal horizontal. Se seleccionaron un total de 4 ECAs. 2 de ellos mostraron la efectividad de Gufoni, oscilación de la mastoides y head shaking en el nistagmo apogeotrópico. Uno de ellos mostró que Gufoni y Lempert para el nistagmo geotrópico presentan una eficacia similar y un estudio encontró que Gufoni es más efectiva en el nistagmo geotrópico. Existen pruebas de que las maniobras de reposición canalicular son muy efectivas para el tratamiento del VPPB, sin embargo es necesario seguir investigando en el tratamiento del canal horizontal debido a la escasa evidencia.

[EN] The objective of this review was analyzing the effectiveness of canalicular repositioning maneuvers in the treatment of benign paroxysmal vertigo (BPPV) with horizontal canal involvement. A total of 4 RCTs were selected. 2 of them demostrated the effectiveness of Gufoni, mastoid oscillation and head shaking in apogeotropic nystagmus. One of them showed that Gufoni and Lempert for geotropic nystagmus have a similar efficacy and another study found that Gufoni is more effective in geotropic nystagmus. There is evidence that canalicular repositioning maneuvers are very effective for the treatment of BPPV, however, in order to lack of evidence is necessary to investigate in the treatment of the horizontal channel.
