[EN] In the present work we are going to study the marbled teal (Marmaronetta angustirostris) and ferruginous duck (Aythya nyroca) population trends in Spain (1983-2019) and in Andalusia (2003-2012). In adittion, we are going to study the hábitat selection of these species in some Andalusian wetlands, which have been classified into different types, based on trophic status, salinity, turbidity and temporality. The relationship between the presence/abundance of these birds and different environmental variables has been checked. Besides, distribution models have been built, by programming in R, to know the potential distribution of the species. In the 1983-2019 period, there has been an increase in the number of marbled teal and ferruginous duck in Spain, and in 2003-2012 in Andalusia. Results conclude that the ranges of environmental variables that promote a primary and secondary productions increase in wetlands are beneficial for our species presence; due to it is used as food.
