Insatisfacción corporal: La sexualidad en mujeres con cáncer de mama sometidas a una mastectomía.

Resumen
La mastectomía es una práctica quirúrgica que consiste en la extirpación del seno, cuya finalidad es eliminar el cáncer de mama. La ausencia del pecho va a producir en estas mujeres, debido a la asociación cultural de la presencia de los senos a ser mujer, un impacto en la percepción de su imagen corporal generando una insatisfacción con su propio cuerpo. El siguiente trabajo consiste en una revisión bibliográfica donde se pretende conocer qué es la insatisfacción corporal y cómo afecta a estas mujeres, en concreto a su sexualidad. Se han encontrado diferencias en insatisfacción corporal en relación a la edad y al tipo de intervención. Los cambios en sexualidad corresponden a disminución del interés y deseo sexual, baja percepción de atractivo sexual, entre otros. Todos estos aspectos junto con otros que se mencionan en el trabajo, van a producir que las relaciones interpersonales de éstas se vean deterioradas.
Mastectomy is a surgical practice that consist of the removal of the breast, the purpose of which is to eliminate breast cancer. The absence of the breast will produce in these women, due to the cultural association of the presence of the breasts to being a woman, an impact on the perception of their body image, generating dissatisfaction with their own body. The following work consists of a bibliographic review where it is intended to know what is body dissatisfaction and how it affects these women, specifically their sexuality. Differences in body dissatisfaction have been found in relation to age and type of intervention. Changes in sexuality correspond to decreased sexual interest and desire, low perception of sexual attractiveness, among others. All these aspects, together with others mentioned at work, will cause their interpersonal relationships to deteriorate.
