[EN] Gene microarray technology has meant a real revolution in the field of Molecular Biology, since it allows the monitorization of the gene expression with a relatively low cost and effort. Systems Biology, whose aim is the integration and analysis of data from high-throughput experiments such as microarrays, allows the extraction of biological knowledge derived from the application of these technologies. In this End-of- degree project, a Systems Biology approach was carried out in order to study fibromyalgia, a chronic syndrome characterized by the presence of deep and diffuse musculoskeletal pain. The obtained results suggest the existence of a group of differentially expressed genes between fibromyalgia and control patients that were related to immune system processes, thus revealing its possible implication in this disorder.
