This paper is focused on the analysis of the ideology and organization of the three most important doctrines of the left during the II Spanish Republic: the socialist one, through the Spanish Socialist Party (PSOE); the anarcho-syndicalist one, with the National Labour Organization and the communist one, through the Spanish Communist Party. This research studies the most important features of these three branches going back to their origin, their development and the most important facts within the Republican period. In addition, some final considerations regarding each of these dogmas are provided. Besides, we will describe historical moments in which these ideologies were cooperating or confronted. This research concludes with a brief analysis of the Republican period and the Labour movement represented with these ideologies.
