This work presents an analysis of the optimization of an autonomous hybrid system composed by two renewable energy sources, photovoltaic panels and hydraulic turbine, the storage system is composed by batteries with sufficient capacity to supply the load during the necessary time. The system is composed of an emergency diesel generator in case the system needs support depending on the adverse climatic conditions of the place. The optimum sizing of the system is achieved through Matlab software using its Simulink Design Optimization tool and the HOMER software, in order to optimize the system by reducing the annual participation of the diesel generator.
