Las personas con discapacidad Intelectual, encuentran serias limitaciones en su proceso de orientación. Este proceso se ve mermado por la falta de acceso a la información en el entorno urbano, lo que dificulta que las personas con discapacidad intelectual puedan llevar una vida autónoma, haciendo de ellas personas dependientes.
Según se verá posteriormente en este proyecto, un elemento facilitador de este proceso de orientación seria el añadir elementos pictográficos en los lugares más transcurridos, parques, plazas edificios públicos, mostrando así un mejor acceso a la comunicación del entorno que nos rodea y llegando con ello en especial al colectivo de personas con discapacidad intelectual.
La elaboración de un sistema pictográfico universal regulado, favorecería la accesibilidad del colectivo provocando en este una mejora en su calidad de vida y un buen ejercicio de sus derechos, que el trabajador social como agente de cambio debe fomentar.

This process is hindered due to lack of access to information in the urban environment, making it difficult for people with intellectual disabilities to live independently, making them dependents, usually from others to carry out a good orientation no mistakes. His development of a regulated universal pictographic system, favor the accessibility of this group causing an improvement in their quality of life and good exercise their rights as the rest of the population, as agents of change, the social worker must foster.
