Resumen
Actualmente, la cerveza es una de las bebidas que presenta mayor producción, tanto a nivel nacional como
internacional. En el proceso productivo de la misma, se generan una gran cantidad de residuos y subproductos
que hasta hace relativamente poco tiempo eran usados como alimento animal o directamente considerados
como desechos. Hoy en día, el objetivo principal de las empresas que se dedican a ello es la búsqueda de
alternativas que permitan la reducción y la reutilización del mayor porcentaje de subproductos, contribuyendo
de esta forma a la rentabilidad del proceso, y por lo tanto, al beneficio de la empresa.
Beer has become a market-leading product. For this reason, the brewery industry has significantly increased its production in recent years, both nationally and internationally. The production process of this drink results in large amount of by-products and waste, which are often use as animal feed or even discarded. Nowadays, brewery companies are focusing on alternative paths to reduce and/or re-use these by-products and make a profit from them.
