[EN]This study evaluates the bee hotels efficiency as a restoration tool in urban environments; concretely it has taken place in the campus Las Lagunillas in Jaen’s University. The main target of this evaluation is to show the bee hotel’s occupational rate. This Project has allowed us to know the pollinators acceptance of the materials that forms the bee-hotels and the positional effects and the vegetive characteristics influence. In this study, 25 bee hotels were introduced in the Green spaces of the university. The bee hotels have been revised regularly during the months that the Project have lasted (from March to June) in order to evaluate their occupational rate. We have obtained 96% of occupational rate. Most of the pollinators have occupied dry branches and holey wooden trunks. The results of this Project support that the bee hotels are useful as an effective tool for the restoration of settlements that favour the reproduction of pollinators in urban environments.
