Investigación Empírica: Estrategias de afrontamiento y uso de fortalezas personales en mujeres con Síndrome de Fibromialgia

Resumen
[ES] Introducción:La fibromialgia es una enfermedad crónica, que puede generar deterioros físicos y
psicosociales en el individuo provocando un impacto significativo en su bienestar y calidad de
vida.Objetivo: Diseñar y aplicar un programa de intervención basado en la utilización de las
estrategias de afrontamiento y potencialización de las fortalezas de perdón, gratitud y saboreo, con el
fin de mejorar la calidad de vida de mujeres con fibromialgia.Resultados:Se encontraron diferencias
significativas en el caso de la ansiedad, el afecto positivo, el impacto de la fibromialgia, las emociones
positivas y las relaciones, mientras que no hubo diferencias en las demás variables.Discusión: Aunque
no se han encontrado resultados positivos en todas las variables, el programa ha sido efectivo. El
resultado más relevante fue la disminución del impacto de la fibromialgia en la vida diaria de las
participantes, un resultado novedoso dentro de esta línea de investigación.
[EN] Introduction:Fibromyalgia is a chronic disease, which can generate physical and psychosocial deterioration in the individual, causing a significant impact on their well-being and quality of life. Objective: Design and apply an intervention program based on the use of coping strategies and potentiating the strengths of forgiveness, gratitude and savoring, in order to improve the quality of life of women with fibromyalgia. Results: Significant differences were found in the case of anxiety, positive affect, the impact of fibromyalgia, emotions positive and relationships, while there were no differences in the other variables. Discussion: Although positive results have not been found in all variables, the program has been effective. The most relevant result was the decrease in the impact of fibromyalgia on the participants' daily lives, a novel result within this line of research.
