Resumen
Actualmente, la sociedad está desarrollando altos niveles de estrés debido, principalmente, al aumento de experiencias negativas que las personales sufren en distintos ámbitos de la vida. El objetivo de este trabajo es enfatizar el papel que la resiliencia tiene sobre los eventos negativos, la cual está definida como una capacidad que permite a los seres humanos hacer frente y salir fortalecidos de las adversidades, siendo, además, utilizada como estrategia de adaptación positiva a ellos con el fin de mejorar los niveles de bienestar. Se abordará la resiliencia como un aspecto fundamental para el aumento del bienestar subjetivo, pieza clave en el desarrollo humano, especialmente en la etapa de la adolescencia. Se enfatizará, además, los cambios que ha sufrido este concepto y sus modelos explicativos, desde sus inicios y se finalizará, con algunos de los factores decisivos (apoyo social, inteligencia, autoestima, optimismo, entre otros) que determinan el desarrollo de esta capacidad.
Nowadays, the society is developing high levels of stress because of the increase of negative experiences that people suffer in diverse areas of the life, mainly. The aim of this project is to emphasise the role of the resilience in negative events, that is defined as a ability that allows humans confront the adversity and become stronger despite of it, and being used as a positive adaptation strategy to them and to increase of the well-being. The resilience will approach as a important perspective of subjetive well-being, a essential key in the human development, especially, in the adolescence. I will emphase, furthermore, the changes that this concept has suffered and its explanatory theories since its beginning and I will finish with some decisive factors (social support, inteligence, self- esteem, optimism, among others) to the development of this ability.
