Resumen
Con la presente propuesta de intervención se persigue implementar actividades que promuevan un adecuado
manejo de las emociones en personas de la tercera edad, manteniendo especial atención en aquellas que padecen
Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA). Además, se tendrán en consideración las investigaciones llevadas a cabo hacia
aquellas personas que acuden diariamente a un centro asistencial. Para sustentar esta intervención, se realizará un
breve repaso de las diferentes concepciones sobre la emoción, la educación emocional, el TEA, las características de
los adultos mayores con TEA, así como algunas herramientas utilizadas para trabajar las emociones y la metodología
empleada en los proyectos de intervención. Será a partir de este punto, desde donde se elabore la propuesta de
intervención, que podrá ser aplicada a personas mayores de 65 años con TEA, las cuales asisten diariamente a un
centro asistencial y que, debido a su condición, necesitan desarrollar una comprensión emocional, intrínseca y
extrínseca, que les permita manejar sus propias emociones e interactuar armoniosamente con sus compañeros/as y
familiares, en diversos contextos sociales.
The principal aim from this intervention proposal is to implement activities that involve proper management of emotions in the elderly, showing special attention to those who suffer from Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD). In addition, the investigations carried out towards those people who go to a care center daily will be taken into consideration. To support this intervention, there will be a brief review of the different conceptions of emotion, emotional education, ASD, the characteristics of older adults with ASD, as well as some tools used to work on emotions and the methodology used in the projects of intervention. It will be from this point, from where the intervention proposal is prepared, which can be applied to people over 65 years of age with ASD, who attend a care center daily and who, due to their condition, need to develop an emotional understanding, intrinsic and extrinsic, that allows them to manage their own emotions and interact harmoniously with their peers and family, in many social contexts.
