La intervención asistida con animales en el trastorno del espectro autista

Abstract

La Intervención Asistida con Animales (IAA), es considerada como una intervención terapéutica, en la que participan los animales como medio catalizador en el tratamiento. Los animales más característicos para este tipo de terapias son el perro, el caballo y el delfín. La IAA actúa como un eficaz proceso terapéutico en el Trastorno del Espectro Autista (TEA), por lo que a través de la presente revisión sistemática, se seleccionará una serie de estudios a los que se aplicará los criterios tanto de inclusión como de exclusión, obteniendo así aquellos ensayos clínicos más predominantes, que serán analizados exhaustivamente para concretar las numerosas ventajas tanto a nivel social, comunicativo y emocional que implica dicha terapia.

The Animal Assisted Intervention (IAA) is considered a therapeutic intervention, in which animals participate as a catalyst in the treatment. The most characteristic animals for this type of therapy are the dog, the horse and the dolphin. The IAA acts as an effective therapeutic process in Autism Spectrum Disorder (ASD), so through this systematic review, a series of studies will be selected using both inclusion and exc lusion criteria, obtaining thus, those most predominant clinical trials, which were exhaustively analyzed to specify the numerous advantages both at a social, communicative and emotional level that said therapy implies.
