The objective of this work is to analyze potential opportunities for improvement in the industry, and its possible implications in safety and efficiency, through the study of the Lean Construction strategy. A case study has been carried out through the application of the 5S tool, pursuing improvement in practices such as the elimination of unnecessary, order, cleanliness, standardization, and discipline in the work area. After the analysis and application of the 5S in a specific case, obstacles in the current work system that prevent greater efficiency have been identified, improvement actions have been proposed, and the cultural barriers that hinder a change of strategy in construction have been deepened.
