La mujer en al-Andalus a través de la materialidad

Abstract

Debido a la falta de estudios referentes a la materialidad del mundo femenino en al-Andalus, este trabajo se centra en ponerlos de manifiesto, de forma que complementen, amplíen o corroboren la información extraída de las fuentes escritas. Para tal fin, nos situaremos en el contexto clásico de Vascos (Navalmoralejo, Toledo), donde realizaremos un análisis espacial de dicha medina andalusí, determinando así qué espacios pudieron estar íntimamente ligados a la mujer y demostrando las posibilidades que ofrece la arqueología de género en el ámbito medieval peninsular.

Due to the lack of studies refered to the materiality of the feminine world in al-Andalus, this work focuses on highlighting them, so that they complement, increase or corroborate the information extracted from written sources. To achieve that, we will carry out a spatial analysis of Vascos (Navalmoralejo, Toledo), an andalusi medina, determining which spaces could be intimately linked to women, demonstrating the possibilities that gender archaeology offers in the peninsular medieval area.
