Resumen
[EN] The main aim of this dissertation is to confirm the importance of reading and teaching literature in the
classroom and, as a result, show how beneficial it is for students as it provides them the chance to know
other cultures and how it helps them acquire the communicative competence by learning through the values
of gender equality, reduction of inequalities and pluriculturality.
This study is based on the integration of human values and pluriculturality in the secondary EFL classroom.
The didactic unit is designed for a 4th of ESO class, using literature as its guiding thread to learn through
values.
The final outcome of this dissertation, that is the didactic unit, could be successfully implemented in any EFL
classroom of the region of Aragón.
