(ES) Charles Dickens fue uno de los escritores más importantes e influyentes de la época
victoriana y si algo le caracterizaba era su magnífica elaboración de personajes. En este trabajo,
se abordarán cuáles fueron las bases para la creación y el desarrollo de sus más conocidos
personajes literarios, analizando los recursos literarios y las peculiaridades que los hacían
diferentes. Todo esto para posteriormente analizar la sociedad victoriana en la que vivía
Dickens, ya que sus personajes, más allá del rol que les era atribuido en la trama de sus obras,
eran a la vez un medio por el cual Dickens hacía una crítica a la sociedad Victoriana, a menudo
utilizando importantes figuras de la vida real. Para ello, se han seleccionado distintos
personajes que representan a la perfección las diferentes clases de la sociedad en la que Dickens
vivió.
(EN) Charles Dickens was one of the most important and influential writers of the Victorian era, and if something characterized him, it was his magnificent elaboration of characters. In this work, we will discuss the basis for the creation and development of his most famous literary characters, analysing the literary resources and the peculiarities that made them different. All this in order to later analyse the Victorian society in which Dickens lived, since his characters, beyond the role attributed to them in the plot of his works, were at the same time a means by which Dickens criticized his society, often using important figures and people from real life. For this purpose, different characters have been selected who perfectly represent the different parts of the Victorian society.
