Una ruta por el Renacimiento en la provincia de Jaén: los tesoros de Vandelvira

Abstract

[ES] Este trabajo propone una ruta turística cultural en la provincia de Jaén en torno al Renacimiento, para la que se han seleccionado algunas de las principales obras diseñadas por Andrés de Vandelvira. Se trata de importantes monumentos renacentistas conservados en las ciudades de Jaén, Úbeda y Baeza que, si bien en algunos casos fueron concluidos muchos años después, en nada desmerecen a los mejores edificios construidos paralelamente en Italia durante el siglo XVI. Dichos monumentos, algunos de los cuales han sido declarados Patrimonio de la Humanidad, como los de Úbeda y Baeza, se han analizado desde un punto de vista histórico-artístico, atendiendo especialmente a su significado, simbolismo y las connotaciones que tuvieron en su época, así como el uso que tienen en la actualidad.

[EN] This proyect proposes a touristic route inside the province of Jaén, in terms of Renaissance, so they have been chosen some of the very important monuments deisgned by andrés de Vandelvira. This is about the most relevant Renaissance monuments conserved in the cities of Jaén, Úbeda and Baeza, where, in some cases they have been finished several years later, they do not have nothing to envy to the buildings that were built at the same tome in Italy during the 16th century. These monuments, some of them have been declared as Human Heritage, such as Úbeda and Baeza, they have been analyzed from a historical and artistical view, paying attention in its meaning, its symbolism and its connotations in their period of time, as well as the use that nowadays they are used for.
