EMOCIÓN EXPRESADA FAMILIAR Y NIVEL DE DEPENDENCIA EN PACIENTES CON TRASTORNO MENTAL GRAVE EN JAÉN.

Abstract

[ES]Introducción: La Emoción Expresada, hace referencia a la calidad de los sentimientos y emociones que los miembros de la familia expresan diariamente al paciente afectado por algún trastorno mental. Objetivo: Determinar la relación entre los niveles elevados de Emoción Expresada familiar y niveles elevados de dependencia para la realización de las actividades básicas de la vida diaria en pacientes diagnosticados de Trastorno Mental Grave. Métodos: Estudio de cohortes prospectivo de cohorte única en pacientes con Trastorno Mental Grave y sus cuidadores principales. En un principio se aplicará el Family Questionnaire al cuidador principal para clasificar a las familias en alta o baja Emoción Expresada. La Escala sobre el perfil de habilidades de la vida cotidiana (Like Skills Profile) se pasará a los pacientes al inicio y tras 9 meses de seguimiento. Se realizará análisis univariante de tipo descriptivo y análisis T de Student para evaluar la relación entre ambas variables.

[EN]Introduction: Expressed Emotion refers to the quality of feelings and emotions that family members express daily to the patient affected by a mental disorder. Objective: To determine the relationship between high levels of expressed family emotion and high levels of dependency to carry out the basic activities of daily life in patients diagnosed with Severe Mental Disorder. Methods: Single cohort prospective cohort study in patients with Severe Mental Disorder and their primary caregivers. Initially, the Family Questionnaire will be applied to the main caregiver to classify families as high or low Expressed Emotion. The Like Skills Profile will be passed to patients at baseline and after 9 months of follow-up. Univariate descriptive analysis and Student T analysis will be performed to evaluate the relationship between both variables.
