Resumen
El trabajo realizado por el alumno Manuel Juan Martínez Martínez ha consistido principalmente en el análisis bioinformático de datos procedentes de RNA-seq, para el estudio de lncRNAs durante el desarrollo del fruto del olivo. Como resultado ha conseguido identificar un total de 2.716 lncRNAs poli-A, de los cuales 921 resultaron expresados de forma diferencial a lo largo del desarrollo del fruto. Concretamente, 107 resultaron sobreexpresados en flor y 814 reprimidos. Este trabajo representa un inicio en el estudio de los lncRNAs poli-A y abre las puertas a futuros trabajos de caracterización funcional en olivo.
The work carried out by the student Manuel Juan Martínez Martínez involved the bioinformatic analysis of RNA-seq data to study lncRNAs during olive fruit development. As a result, he identified a total of 2,716 poly-A lncRNAs, of which 921 were differentially expressed throughout fruit development. Specifically, 107 were overexpressed in flowers and 814 were repressed. This work represents a beginning in the study of poly-A lncRNAs and paves the way for future functional characterization studies in olive.
