Contactos entre la Dinastía Ming y la Monarquía Hispánica a través de Filipinas durante el siglo XVI

Abstract

(ES) En el siglo XVI, comenzó la creación de los primeros asentamientos europeos en Asia, primero con los portugueses y posteriormente con los castellanos. Los segundos crearían su propia colonia en las islas Filipinas, donde accederían y contribuirían a las redes comerciales existentes en la zona, especialmente con la dinastía Ming en China. En este trabajo se analiza las relaciones que mantuvieron ambas partes y qué obtuvieron de esto.

(EN) In the XVI century started the creation of the first European settlements in Asia, first the Portuguese and then the Castilians. The latter would create their first colony in the Philippines, where they would access and contribute to the existent trade networks in the area, especially with the Ming dynasty in China. In this paper, it’s analyzed the relations that both parties maintained and what did they obtained out of this.
