The main objective of this study was to verify whether there is a relationship between Emotional Regulation (ER) and vigor at work. For this purpose, a cross-sectional correlational study was carried out in which 153 workers belonging to different professional sectors took two assessment tests: the Cognitive Emotion Regulation Questionnaire (CERQ-S; Garnefski et al., 2001; adaptation of Domínguez-Sánchez et al., 2011) and the Shirom-Melamed Vigor Measure (SMVM; Shirom, 2003; Spanish adaptation of Pulido-Martos et al., 2017). The results confirm that vigor is positively related to adaptive cognitive emotional regulation strategies (r=.542; p<0.01), and negatively related to maladaptive cognitive emotional regulation strategies (r=-.188; p<0.05). These results are discussed, the practical implications of these results are discussed, as well as limitations and suggestions for future research.
