[EN]The aim of this work was to know the marks in Emotional Intelligence of students of Primary Education and to verify the existence of significant differences in statistical level depending of the gender on a series of established dimensions (Conscience and emotional control, self-esteem, sociological and emotional skills, skills on life awareness and subjective well-being) through an self-informed questionnaire about Emotional Intelligence, CEER (Álvarez & GROP, 2006), in a students sample of sixth of primary (n=63) from a school in the province of Jaen (South Spain). Hereby the obtained information is analyzed, not finding significant differences (p>.05) between the dimensions of the designed tool, but showing certain small differences between boys and girls who are aligned with the trend, that will increase according to other pieces of research, with the age. Once the data is analyzed and compared the information obtained in other pieces of research, future lines of action are discussed in the matter and further research is included.
