Resumen
Este trabajo trata sobre el maltrato infantil, concretamente sobre el papel del maestro ante el maltrato infantil. El maltrato infantil es un grave problema social que no solo existe actualmente, sino que ha existido a lo largo de la humanidad.
Con este trabajo lo que se pretende conseguir es aportar conocimientos sobre qué es el maltrato infantil, conocer los diferentes tipos de malos tratos a la infancia que existen y cuáles son sus indicadores. También se exponen una serie de modelos que estudia las causas o factores que llevan a los padres o parientes más cercanos a maltratar a los niños.
Además, se verá la importancia del papel del maestro, ya que éste en el aula puede detectar qué niño sufre malos tratos, pero en ocasiones, los maestros presentan limitaciones a la hora de detectarlo o de intervenir. Por este motivo, se darán respuestas sobre cómo puede intervenir el docente en un caso de este tipo.
En el presente trabajo, con la elaboración de un cuestionario, se recogen los resultados que han aportado los maestros de un colegio público de la ciudad de Jaén, y una propuesta de mejora para la detección y notificación.
