[ES]Con objeto de obtener datos que relacionen o no el nivel de lateralidad
motora con una posible asimetría cardiovascular y sus diferencias de género,
se analizaron grupos de hombres adultos diestros o zurdos y grupos de
mujeres adultas diestras o zurdas en fase menstrual del ciclo, a los que se les
determinaron individualmente los niveles de presión arterial sistólica y diastólica
así como la frecuencia cardíaca en los brazos izquierdo y derecho y el nivel de
lateralidad motora que presentaba cada sujeto. Los resultados demuestran la existencia de diferencias en el nivel de presión arterial dependientes del brazo en que se determinó ésta y del tipo de lateralidad y sugieren que las hormonas sexuales pueden ejercer un papel modulador y determinar en parte la simetría en el control de la presión arterial.
[EN]In order to obtain data that relate the level of motor laterality with a possible cardiovascular asymmetry and their gender differences, groups of leftor right-handed adult men and groups of left or right-handed adult women in menstrual phase were analyzed. Systolic and diastolic blood pressure levels as well as cardiac frequency were individually determined in the left and right arm, as well as the level of motor of laterality in each subject. Results demostrate existence of differences in blood pressure leven depending on the measured arm and depending on the side of laterality and suggest that sex hormones my play a modulator role and in part to establish an asymetry in blood pressure control.
