Online dictionaries – Renewed tools for the 21st century Are they really used in our educational context?

Abstract

[ES] El objetivo de este estudio es mostrar los hábitos de uso de diccionarios en línea en el área de inglés entre estudiantes de bachillerato en una zona rural del interior de Andalucía. Así como qué criterios siguen estos alumnos para elegir un diccionario u otro, qué uso hacen de ellos, qué herramientas utilizan y qué ventajas y desventajas contemplan en su uso.[EN] The objective of this study is to show the usage patterns of online dictionaries in the English area among Bachillerato students in a small town in the interior of Andalusia. As well as which criteria they follow in order to choose one dictionary or another, how they use them, which tools they use to make the most out of them, and which advantages and disadvantages they find in the use of this type of dictionaries.
