Resumen
El álbum ilustrado o el libro álbum es un recurso literario que atrae y motiva a los/as lectores/as de cualquier edad, pero sobre todo a los/as más pequeños/as. Por ello, los estudiosos recomiendan utilizar estos libros en Educación Infantil para motivar la lectura. La denominación de “álbum ilustrado o libro álbum” se suele confundir con otros dos conceptos “libro ilustrado” y “libro de imágenes”, por lo que el presente trabajo destaca, en primer lugar, las diferencias que existen entre estos términos. Por otra parte, en las siguientes páginas se intenta demostrar que la “lectura o interpretación” de los libros álbumes favorece el desarrollo de competencias, como pueden ser: la lingüística, la matemática, la artística, etc. Por último, se concluye el trabajo analizando cuatro álbumes ilustrados (publicados en los últimos diez años), que sirven de ejemplo para demostrar la relación entre la imagen y el texto.
The illustrated album or book album is a literary device which attracts and motivates readers of any age but especially younger readers. For this reason, researchers recommend using this type of book in pre-school education to encourage reading. The denomination of "illustrated album" is often confused with two other concepts: "illustrated book" and "picture book". Therefore, this essay firstly highlights the difference between these words. Secondly, in the following pages I try to demonstrate that the “reading or interpretation” of the illustrated album favors the development of competences, such as linguistics, mathematics, art, etc. Finally, I conclude this essay with the analysis of four books (published in the last ten years) that serve as examples to demonstrate the close relationship between picture and text in the album book.
