[EN] Through a gasification plant of distributed generation based on the gasification of tires, it is intended to supply the Abbott factory with energy. The gasification plant produces 1.44 MW of electrical power with the use of gas engines. As it is a cogeneration system, thermal energy is also generated that is destined to the production of saturated steam at 3 bar pressure, sanitary hot water and heating. The power plant generates an excess of electrical energy that is for sale and distribution in the electricity network. Also produced by-products of tire treatment (metals) that are marketed to other industries. After carrying out an economic study, it has been determined that the integration of the gasification plant is viable, it is assumed that it is an energy saving in energy consumption and can be amortized in a period of less than 3 years.
